Quick-releases are used instead of bolts between the boom and its extension. These are so-called ball lock bolts that can be inserted and locked or removed without tools. This makes it easy to adjust the lengths of the outriggers to different sizes of inflatable boats or to adjust the distance to the yacht easily for with or without engine.
We recommend the Quick-Relases whenever you intend to leave your outboard on the dinghy from time to time.
